AI4 Literature 1 — revision for the matriculation exam

Ydinkäsitteet
- Kertoja — tekstin kertova ääni: minäkertoja, ulkopuolinen (hän-)kertoja, kaikkitietävä kertoja; eri asia kuin kirjailija.
- Näkökulma (fokalisaatio) — kenen havaintojen ja tajunnan kautta tapahtumat välittyvät.
- Teema — teoksen kantava ajatus tai kysymys (esim. syyllisyys, luopuminen); eri asia kuin aihe tai juoni.
- Motiivi — toistuva elementti (esine, kuva, tilanne), joka rakentaa teemaa.
- Metafora ja vertaus — kuvallisuuden peruskeinot; metafora rinnastaa suoraan, vertaus kuin-sanalla.
- Symboli — konkreettinen asia, joka edustaa laajempaa merkitystä (esim. talvi kuolemana).
- Puhuja — runon "ääni"; runoanalyysi alkaa aina puhujan ja puhetilanteen hahmottamisesta.
- Draaman käsitteet — repliikki, parenteesi, ristiriita (konflikti), kohtaus; jännite syntyy ristiriidasta.

How to train module AI4 into points
- Revise the module's core concepts — name them, do not paraphrase them.
- Write an exam-style answer on the topic. Give yourself the same time as in the exam.
- Read the score, what was missing, and the three corrections — References to the source materials and analysis of them; your own justified views; command of the text genre.
- Write the same answer again after the corrections and see how far it rose.
